Virtual Business/Social Cards Made Up -- In A Limited Way...

My virtual business/social cards were made up in a limited way.  That is, I now have a few of them that I've actually cut into strips and are ready for distribution, plus I have a master to use to make considerably more copies once I get enough money to do so.

It's a start, anyway.

At Facebook, a lot of other people and I are into a discussion about Larry -- all of it good!!!  I can hardly wait to let him know this tonight!!!

NOW!!!  If only I could get enough money to get my water pump and thermostat replaced...

I believe that those will be the two things that will finish off fixing what needs to be fixed the most about AJ's Groovy Igloo so that I don't have to worry about it overheating and blowing a gasket.

What we have now is a three-figured expense starting with a one.

However, if it blows a gasket, we will be looking at a four-figured expense that will (hopefully) start with a one but might start with a two.  NOT FUNNY!!!

Prayers needed -- and bumping into Bill Gates might prove to be helpful, too!!!   So, will he be in my area anytime soon!?!  LOL

Seriously, keep me in your prayers!!!

Hopefully, July will be a very positive month in many ways.  I just take things a day at a time and keep asking God:  "What next!?!"  So far, I receive no less than one very special blessing per day!!!  Even if it isn't a blessing that includes pictures of Presidents, it seems to be whatever will get me through the day!!!

Today, one of my blessings is this wonderful conversation going on about Larry and sharing this with him later tonight.

Category CanMan

I've just recently started a series called Category CanMan over at persona paper.  Since I have the feeling that it will be a pretty active series, I've decided to give it a page of its own...

Just Another Day In Paradise...

My angel friends are back from Alaska, and I'm staying with them again until the first of July.  At that time, it will be time for me to move on and get a change of scenery, and they're going to be spending some quality time with their grandson who is coping with the recent and unexpected death of his dad.

Right now, I'm at the library, and it seems as if things have been coming together pretty well when it comes to getting some things done that I needed to get done -- such as creating a virtual business/social card.

The big headache in my life right now has to do with my minivan.  It needs a new water pump (or, at least, that's what various friends who know a whole lot more than I do have been telling me).  It actually needs a whole lot of things done for its sick, little body, but I'm just focusing on what it will take to keep it taking me from Point A to Point B without blowing a gasket.

At this time, the repair will cost me around $150 (including work with the water pump being around $40 of that).  One of my friends offered to do the water pump for me, and, as far as I was concerned, he had it.  However, some unforeseen things have come up since then that have left me with the impression that this option (of having him to do the job) is no longer open to me.

Anyway, the job of repairing my water pump will go to the first person (with the know-how) who will be willing and able to do it pdq under the terms of trusting me to pay off the work in littles until I can finish paying off the work in bigs.

Of course, after the first of the month, I'll have a bit more money to spend on getting this done.  Even so...until I can generate some more cash...there's still the same situation of having to pay in installments.

That is...unless I can somehow get the money all at once.

I have the feeling that it won't be easy to do this around here -- which means that I'm probably going to have to go elsewhere to get this done.  Of course, that means that I'm going to have to drive very carefully and nurse my vehicle along so that I won't end up blowing a gasket and end up having to pay out a four-figure amount during the time when I can't even afford a three-figure amount.

This is one shining example of Catch 22.

For some reason, the keyboard I'm using is trying to develop rigor mortis on me, and I'm having to strike the keys as if they were on a harpsichord.

This tells me that I'd better be winding up this entry soon while I still can.

Anyway, this hasn't been too bad of a day.  I'm managing to get at least a few things accomplished --with one of those being trying to create a nice surprise for Larry.

And what's the surprise?

I'm not spilling the beans at this time...But, when it becomes reality, I'll be sure to share it here.

I hear that it's currently pouring down rain outside, so this is an absolutely perfect time to be in the library getting things done -- and I'm happy to report that my time on the computer has just been renewed for another 30 minutes!!!  YAY!!!

Anyway, I probably will end up wrapping up my library time a bit earlier, as I'd like to be able to make it out to the nursing home to visit with some friends I met there during the time that the son of the angel couple was in there for respite care while they were in Alaska.

They really enjoyed their trip, btw -- until the last when the airline connections ended up forcing them to give up two days in Alaska that they had expected to spend with their recently-widowed daughter and her family.

THEN when they got back to Indianapolis, some misinformation given to them that gave them the impression that there was no other way to claim their baggage than to board an escalator (which neither of them had any business riding -- an understatement) left the husband with a broken arm, a lot of bruises, AND some implications from one or more friends that he might end up being the proud owner of an airport before it was all over with.  LOL

This just might be a great place to end this entry, as this computer locked up like a snapping turtle a few minutes ago and has just come out of its trance...TTFN!!!

Ainsley Jo Phillips

Coining New Words & Phrases

Today, I was writing about Larry (So....What ELSE is new!?! LOL), and something pretty amazing happened:  I coined a new word to describe him and his ilk: personmark

This will better explain it:

It's Saturday, June 21, 2014, and I've just coined two new words:  personmark and dictionaryize.  I've included a definition to the first one in the article I'm sharing (along with using it in a sentence), and I'm now going to define and use the second one in a sentence right here on this page:

dictionaryize:  what one does after coining a new word to promote it in hopes of having it included in a dictionary

I've just coined the word, personmark, and am now setting out to dictionaryize it!

http://www.bubblews.com/news/3942736-what-is-a-personmark

This explanation is what I wrote at Dictionary.com's page over at Facebook.

Anyway, I think I'm going to create a series called:

Ainsley Jo Phillips' Coin Factory

which will be about coining new words and phrases.

I actually have quite a bit more to write about, but I think it would be wise to sign off here and call this an entry, as this computer has been acting rather unpredictable today, and I don't want my hard work to end up becoming a victim of Murphy's Law...

The series continues (beginning again on July 2, 2014 and moving forward indefinitely)...

Stay tuned for more...

Giving You The Short Version

The short version is...

I'm having trouble with my minivan -- BUT the GOOD news is that I'm not having as much trouble as I have been having, though I still need to be careful not to blow a gasket before finding out what the cause of its heating up so easily is.

MORE good news is that it's not heating up as much as it once was.

Larry still refuses to ride in it until I get it fixed, and I don't blame him for a lot of reasons that I could go into in the longer version, but the short version is that there's even more wrong with it than the actual dependability when it comes to getting from Point A to Point B (though those reasons are related to this).

But it's not a comfy ride (or even healthy) for somebody who (as Larry does) suffers from C.O.P.D.

Anyway, I will further introduce you to my minivan another time and describe just how sick she is.

The GOOD news is that it looks as if some things have ended up getting fixed that will make fixing her the rest of the way less expensive.

The BAD news is that I can't afford even THAT at this time.

The GOOD news is that, as it's less expensive, I'll be able to afford repairs a bit sooner -- or so I hope and pray.

And so it goes...

Anyway, I've just written something really neat about Larry -- and it won't be the last time I do this any more than it was the first time that I've done this upon writing what I wrote today.

However, I think it's worth sharing with you, so that's what I'm going to be doing in this entry...

http://www.bubblews.com/news/3926222-keeping-tabs-on-my-favorite-teddy-bear

I believe I'll be back here at the library tomorrow.  For now, however, I'm getting ready to break camp in a few and go on to my next destination.  It has been a very interesting last several days, to say the least -- and the good news is that most of it has been of a positive nature!

Lots to tell and little time to tell it, so ttfn & God Bless!!!

"...One Is Silver & The Other Gold..."

Note:  If you see this character beside a hyperlink:   *
this means that it houses a referral link.  This won't automatically join you to the site if clicked on, but I still wanted to let you know anyway...

When I was in 4H back in my youth, we had various songs we'd sing together.  One of them had the lyrics:

"Make new friends but keep the old.
One is silver and the other gold."

Today, I'm getting a chance to get online for awhile and decided to visit Bubblews * only to find that it looked as if it had been run over by a train.  I also couldn't log into my account there.  Was this a temporary condition or a permanent one?

Thankfully, it was only a temporary condition, and things are doing great now.

However, I went to a Facebook group for people who, like myself, wrote for the site to see if this were my problem or a site glitch.

It was a site glitch--now corrected, which means that my old friend is now back-to-normal again!

However, this situation led me to check out a new, similar site called Persona Paper * so I would always have a place to not only write but, also, get paid for it!  As with Bubblews, my handle there is AinsleyJo1952.

These sites are so neat that I would, likely, keep writing for them even without the pay option (but don't tell them this, as I also need the money -- something that is becoming pretty darn important due to unfolding soap operas like the one I described here in my previous entry ).

For instance, here is where I'm at today:

Scheduled for a pressure test re: an antifreeze leak in about two hours.

Will probably have to leave cyberspace in a little over an hour in order to make sure that I get to my appointment on time (allowing for making sure that radiator is full and for any monkey business it might decide to perform).

After that, trying to both get and save money in relation to all of my stuff.

Oh yes!  Doing a pressure test (something in the field of $29.95) won't actually FIX my problem -- just analyze it so I can know more that needs to be fixed.

It has been running much better since I had my O2 Bank 1 Sensor replaced.  However, "much better" doesn't mean that it's in perfect running condition -- just that it was getting so pathetic in its operations that nearly anything seems like an improvement.

All in all, it does seem to have been helped by this sensor that I bought to the tune of fifty+ dollars once the tax had been figured in.

And so life goes on...and on...and on...

However, even with all of its visits by Lawyer Murphy, I see myself as being a really blessed person!!!

I'm pretty sure that I won't be back online tomorrow to add another post to this blog but should be by Tuesday at the latest and, hopefully, by Monday...

P.S. Here's my very first bit of writing at PP.  Hope you have already clicked on the previous link to join me there...

To Clone Or Not To Clone...

Life can be as curious as a soap-opera at times.  If you don't believe me, begin with Please Quit Yapping, Benny, And Just Gimme A Needle And Thread!!! and just follow the links...

At this time, I'm at the library here in Anderson trying to catch up with days and days of activities in a matter of hours -- and I have my minivan parked (thankfully) in the shade so that somebody with stronger hands than mine can come along and help me to put water into it so that it just might not get to the temperature that makes it start causing me grief quite so quickly.

I still need to pick up Bud from Pinky's and need to find out what the heck is going on when it comes to the question of who will be repairing my minivan and when.  Hopefully, it will finally get repaired tomorrow.  However, I want absolutely NO bad surprises.

While I know that it might be a cruel thing to clone me (and I don't know how to do that anyway), I'm tempted to (if only I could) split up temporarily into about 25 of me with each one of us working on different tasks.

If I could, I think that I would have at least five of those doing nothing but eating, sleeping, and going to the bathroom for me.

Of course, ALL 25 of me would be spending time with Larry.

Bet HE's relieved that I can't clone myself.

That's all for now...
